I’m older than DOS 1.0′s Bootsector

The boot-sector of DOS 1.0 is celebrating its 28th birthday today (it contains the timestamp “7-May-81″).

This makes me feel old.  I remember DOS.  I thought myself a power-user at one time.  My skills were great, and eventually, I locked out everyone, including myself,  on my parents’ computer by requiring a password and manipulating the start-up files.  Sure, if you were computer savvy, you could have gotten around it , but, at the time, I was a power hungry “all knowing” computer nerd.  How lame I was.    Anyway, I found this article interesting, Reverse-Engineering DOS 1.0 – Part 1: The Boot Sector.  Chris, I think you might be the only one who may enjoy it.
